Eddy Village Green is the largest Greenhouse model in the entire US. Our 16 houses of 12 elders in each house is the leading provider of long term care services. Each elder and family along with the colleagues in the house make up a family and nurture and sustain each other.

A message from the executive director

At Eddy Village Green in Cohoes, we strive to provide the highest quality care possible for our elders. We offer short-term rehabilitation and long-term skilled nursing care. Our team not only includes nursing, therapy, Shahbazim, and more, our care team involves the elders and their families who know them best. Because we are all individuals, and every elder has his/her own personality and unique differences, we aim to learn all we can about every senior and provide individualized resident-centered care so that every day is a joyful day for our elders. Our goal is to put a smile on their faces and in their hearts.

I had always wanted to be in health care to help people and working with seniors is a JOYFUL experience! They energize me. I also believe in the power of humor. Laughing and putting a smile on the faces of our residents puts a smile on my face.

Since I was a teenager, I’ve worked with residents and since then, I’ve worked in homes from coast to coast. I believe that providing the highest quality of care possible for residents requires a team atmosphere, one that incudes staff, residents themselves, and their family members. We’re fortunate to be a part of a larger system with its own long-term care sector. We are a part of the larger community.

[ Samantha has nearly 15 years of experience in health care. She has a Master’s Degree in Health Administration from Western Connecticut State University, and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Healthcare Management from Ithaca College in NY. Samantha is certified in Long-Term Health Care from the University of Connecticut. Additionally, she has completed an NHA (National Healthcareer Association) internship at the Abbott Terrace Health Center in Waterbury, CT; and a hospital internship at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital in Torrington, CT. ]

Room Rate:

As of March 1, 2025, our rate for a private room is $551 per day.

**Room rates DO NOT include applicable New York State Assessment Tax.

Ownership: Eddy Village Green at Cohoes is proud to be part of St. Peter’s Health Partners, a non-profit health system which is licensed as a co-operator of our skilled nursing residence. SPHP’s parent, Trinity Health, is licensed as a co-co-operator. Both also provide us with administrative services.

Landlord: Eddy Village Green at Cohoes/St. Peter’s Health Partners owns our building and property. We do not rent or lease; we do not have a landlord.

Vendors: This is a current list of all the vendors with whom we contract to provide us with goods or services. We update this within 30 days of executing any new agreement or contract.
